The team here at Cycle is proud to sponsor the Lee Brothers Side Kick Foundation’s 5th annual MAD Dash. The MAD Dash is an adventure race where participants are challenged through a variety of mental and physical obstacles that require some running, some crawling, some problem solving, but mainly tons of teamwork to conquer challenging and fun tasks throughout the course.
Teams of 3 to 4 people are given a map the morning of the race and must choose the route their team will take to successfully complete all the required challenges. Challenges can include anything from sandbag carries to salsa dancing, logic problems to low crawls. The total distance of the race is approximately a 5k. This year the proceeds from the race will be donated to the Wake County Boys & Girls Clubs. The donation will provide funding in support of their Academic Success programs.
“We are grateful to once again have the team at Cycle as a sponsor of this event,” said Brian Hnat, board member of the Lee Brothers Side Kick Foundation. “They have been a sponsor of this event since year one and their continued support has been invaluable as we grow this event each year. With their help, we have been able to achieve such goals as helping the Wake County Boys & Girls Club purchase a new bus in 2015 and start a UMDF Family Research Fund in 2016.”
The MAD Dash will be held rain or shine on October 27 at Joyner Park in Wake Forest, NC. For more information including links to the event registration and sponsorship pages, please visit https://maddashnc.org.
