Cycle Labs Certification Policies

This document provides key requirement information for candidates of all Cycle Labs certification exams.

 

Confidentiality Agreement

All content, specifically questions and answers of the certification exam, are the proprietary and confidential property of Cycle Labs. They may not be copied, reproduced, modified, published, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed in any way without the express authorization of Cycle Labs.

 

Candidate Code of Conduct

Candidates will not participate in any cheating incident, breach of security, misconduct, or any other behavior that could be considered a compromise of the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of any Cycle Labs certification exam. Such behaviors include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Providing falsified information or solicitation of someone to take a test on another’s behalf.
  • Seeking and/or obtaining unauthorized access to examination materials (this includes using any unauthorized publication of exam questions with or without answers).
  • Giving, receiving, or obtaining unauthorized assistance during the examination or attempting to do so.
  • Disseminating actual exam content by any means, including, but not limited to, web postings, formal or informal test preparation or discussion groups, chat rooms, reconstruction through memorization, study guides, or any other method.
  • Copying, publishing, selling, offering to sell, distributing in any way, or otherwise transferring, modifying, making derivative works of, reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or translating any exam or any part thereof.
  • Violating the Retaking Exams policy below.
  • Using falsified or altered certificates or other documents or electronic media to misrepresent your certification status or that of another individual.
  • Allowing another person, or an organization in which you are not actively involved, to use your certification credentials to obtain employment or promotions.
  • Tampering with the operation of your personal computer, private network, or allowing unauthorized software to run in the background that would attempt to perform any function other than taking a Cycle Labs exam, or any other action that compromises the integrity of the exam.

Exam Violations

Behaviors listed in the above Candidate Code of Conduct are prohibited and penalties for violating the policy can include up to and including a lifetime ban on all future exams and the nullification of all previous certifications.

 

Privacy

Cycle Labs respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. The Cycle Labs privacy policy explains the types of personal information we collect and how we use, disclose, and protect that information.

 

Correspondence

All official correspondence to certified candidates is sent to the email and/or address recorded in Cycle University. Candidates are responsible for updating their personal information in their Cycle University profile to ensure timely receipt of official correspondence.

 

Exam Scoring

At the completion of the exam, candidates receive an immediate pass/fail notification and email, along with instructions for next steps. Cycle Labs does not publish exam passing scores because exam questions and passing scores are subject to change and may vary exam to exam, without notice.

 

Exam Validity

Exams are valid for two years from the date you pass, with potential renewal options based on project experience and continuing education. Candidates can take the exam an unlimited number of times, but must pay the exam price each exam attempt and abide by the below Retaking Exams policy.

 

Retaking Exams

In the event a candidate fails to pass an exam, they may retake it after a set amount of time. Below are the waiting periods for each attempt.
 
CCD-A

  • First retake: 1 business day after the original attempt
  • Second retake: 14 calendar days after the second attempt
  • Third or above retakes: 14 calendar days after the previous attempt

 
CCSP

  • Each retake can be taken one week after the last attempt.

 
Candidates will receive an email after their waiting period is over and when they become eligible to retake the exam. This email will contain a link to the new exam. Please note, all candidates will need to pay the full price for all exam retakes and promotional codes will no longer be available.

 

Exam Retirement

Cycle Labs reserves the right to phase out any exam at any given time. When an exam is phased out, it may be replaced by another exam.

 

Discounts and Promotional Codes

Cycle Labs may issue discounts or promotional codes to candidates to use toward exam payment. Candidates who use fraudulent or unauthorized promotional codes may risk up to and including a lifetime ban on all future exams and the nullification of all previous certifications. Cycle Labs will not compensate candidates for fraudulent promotional codes obtained from an unauthorized source.

 

Payment

Prices are subject to change until full payment is made. Credit cards and promotional codes are the only accepted payment methods for all exams. You will be charged immediately for the exam fee as soon as you provide your payment information.

 

Recertification

Certification status will expire after two years. Individuals with a valid certification must pass an exam designated for recertification to keep their status, and reminders will be sent to your email address. If your certification lapses, you must fulfill the current certification requirements to become certified again.
