Paul Turchinetz honored as the 2026 annual Kelvin Saulsberry Award winner

Raleigh, NC (September 30, 2026): Cycle Labs is proud to announce Paul Turchinetz as the recipient of the 8th Annual Kelvin Saulsberry Award. This award, which holds deep significance for our team, was established in memory of Kelvin Saulsberry, a beloved colleague we tragically lost in 2018. Since 2019, the annual award has celebrated Kelvin’s life and legacy by recognizing employees who embody the exceptional personal traits and values he demonstrated every day.

The Kelvin Saulsberry Award recognizes employees who go above and beyond in service to others and reflect the qualities that made Kelvin such an important part of our team. Kelvin was an extraordinary individual, and no single trait can fully capture the warmth and goodness he shared with everyone fortunate enough to know him. Each year, Cycle Labs employees nominate colleagues who they believe carry that spirit forward.

About the 2026 Award Winner

Paul-Turchinetz

We are thrilled to recognize Paul Turchinetz, known to many of his colleagues as Turch, as this year’s Kelvin Saulsberry Award recipient.

Paul’s colleagues consistently highlighted the combination of determination, curiosity, positivity, and care he brings to his work. Whether tackling new technical challenges, responding thoughtfully to feedback, or looking for ways to improve the customer experience, Paul approaches his work with a willingness to learn and a determination to find the right solution.

One colleague shared:

“Turch consistently approaches problems with a positive mindset and determination to get the right solution figured out. He has an openness to feedback, willingness to learn and improve, and cares not only about what he is building, but who he is building it with.”

Paul has taken on challenging projects across Cycle Labs, including work involving Cycle MCP, Intelligent Data, Plugins, CLIv2, Language Intelligence features, and pipelines. His drive to grow extends beyond his work at Cycle Labs. Over the past year, he has also published a course on Test Automation University, delivered conference presentations, contributed to open source projects, and written technical blog posts.

But Paul’s nominations made clear that his technical accomplishments tell only part of the story. His colleagues repeatedly pointed to the patience, kindness, humility, and optimism he brings to the people around him.

As one teammate put it:

“Turch is just a wonderful person to work with. He is patient and kind, even when the work is difficult. In times when the team has felt dour, he has always been a beacon of optimism.”

Another colleague noted Paul’s willingness to listen to different perspectives and engage thoughtfully, even when there is disagreement:

“We may not see eye to eye on every topic, but I know he’s willing to come to the table and put forth effort in dialoguing and understanding perspectives. He does so with cheeriness, humility, and care.”

That combination of determination, patience, humility, and genuine concern for the people around him captures the spirit of the Kelvin Saulsberry Award.

We are proud to honor Paul with the 8th Annual Kelvin Saulsberry Award and recognize the impact he continues to make on his teammates, our customers, and Cycle Labs.

Congratulations, Paul, and thank you for everything you do to make Cycle Labs and the people around you better.
