Cycle Labs Releases Cycle Version 2.19, Introducing the Cycle Report Dashboard and VS Code Extension

Raleigh, NC (October 2, 2024): Cycle Labs, a leading software company in the enterprise test automation space and creator of the patented Cycle® Continuous Test Automation Platform, is proud to announce the release of Cycle® 2.19, a major update to the Cycle Testing Platform. 

This release introduces two significant new features: the Cycle Report Dashboard, which provides real-time visibility into test results, and a Visual Studio Code (VS Code) extension, enabling a streamlined editing experience for CycleScript within the popular code editor.

Key Features of Cycle 2.19

1. Cycle Report Dashboard
   The new Cycle Report Dashboard offers an intuitive interface to view test results in real-time. Users can now launch the dashboard directly from the Cycle app and quickly drill down into specific test runs and scenarios. Key features include:
   • A detailed, three-column layout displaying test runs, scenarios, and step-by-step results.
   • A “Jump to Failure” button for faster troubleshooting.
   • Visual indicators, including failure reasons, screenshots, and step details.
   • The ability to track multiple test runs simultaneously with real-time updates.
2. VS Code Extension for Cycle Testing
   For developers who prefer using VS Code, Cycle Labs has introduced an official Cycle Testing extension. This extension enhances the CycleScript editing experience, offering:
   • Syntax highlighting for CycleScript.
   • Step Assistant documentation on hover.
   • Auto-completion for steps.
   • Syntax error detection.
   • Snippets for “If” and “While” statements.
   • Easy navigation between scenarios using the Ctrl+Click shortcut.
