2nd Annual Kelvin Saulsberry Award

Jonathan Yiv announced as the second annual Kelvin Saulsberry Award winner

Raleigh, NC (October 22, 2020): Earlier this week, during our internal quarterly meeting, we were able to announce the recipient of the 2nd Annual Kelvin Saulsberry Award, one that is close to all our hearts. The award was created in honor of an employee who passed away in 2018. Last year, as a way to celebrate and memorialize Kelvin’s life and his time with us, we started an annual employee award — The Kelvin Saulsberry Award. 

The Kelvin Saulsberry Award is a celebration of what we deem to be just a few highlights of the many amazing personal traits and values Kelvin embodied and expressed. Kelvin was an amazing person and there is no single word that captures the goodness he projected. Employees were allowed to nominate any employee they felt embodied some of Kelvin’s amazing attributes.

The following criteria were given as guideposts for nominations, all of which Kelvin exemplified on a daily basis:

• Dedication: The nominee is self-motivated to work hard at growing the business and themselves personally.
• Integrity: The nominee is trustworthy and dependable.
• Caring: The nominee shows genuine concern towards those around them.
• Joyful: The nominee shows joy in performing their duties.
• Patience: The nominee shows calm endurance under pressure.
• Humble: The nominee maintains a modest and simple attitude.

2020 Award Winner

After numerous nominations, this year’s winner is Jonathan Yiv. Jonathan is a Senior Solutions Engineer. While he has only been with the company for about a year and a half, he has quickly become an integral part of the team. He is known for always having a great attitude and an endless amount of patience when others come to him for help. In his numerous nominations, he was described as, “Constantly reaching out to ensure others are doing well, always there helping others troubleshoot issues, and he always has a wonderful demeanor combining professionalism with personality!” Another added, “Jonathan contributes a lot of content to our internal knowledge base to ensure others have the information to succeed.” In his short tenure with us, Jonathan has already established himself as a figure of authority, an expert, a teacher, and a friend to so many people throughout the company.

We couldn’t be happier to award the 2nd Annual Kelvin Saulsberry Award to Jonathan! Although the award was given virtually, Jonathan will receive an award in the mail and we can’t wait to congratulate him in person!
